It’s time we take a deep dive with our non-office workers! We spoke with local and migrant blue-collar workers learning about the challenges faced by them. Factoring their desirability towards On-Demand Pay and understanding their concerns was key in identify a new market fit, if any.

Background & Problem Area

Blue-collar workers schedule and environment can be unpredictable in comparison with someone who works in an office. The premise on employee benefit, work schedule and salary varies with industries. Some employer may offer 2 pay schedules in a month while some have irregular pay schedule dependent on job roles.

There’s no cookie-cutter fitting on how people are using On-Demand Pay. So, how can we best meet their needs and truly understand the challenges that comes within their work environment?

What do we don’t know from non-office workers?

Here are some questions asked during the research:

How often do you get your salary?
If you have OT allowances, is it paid on the same day as your salary?
If you need RM500 for a financial emergency, who would you look for the money?
How often do you get a day off?
What kind of benefits does your employer offer?
Do you having any saving goals?
